(POTENTIAL BOYFRIENDS, if you want to model yourselves on these fellas, please go ahead)
5. David Gandy
I'm sure a lot of us aren't used to seeing Mr. Gandy with clothes on (Dolce and Gabbana's Light Blue advert, obviously), but when he does decide that y-fronts only isn't the outfit of his day, David Gandy becomes one of the best dressed men in Britain, if not the world. Look out for overcoats, three piece suits complete with pocket watches and hanky, with a distinctly 20s vibe. There's a reason that he has become one of the most famous male models in the entire world - it isn't just because of his cheekbones etc etc, it's because he understand fashion, bordering on eccentric without looking like the male version of Helena Bonham Carter (I think that might just be Tim Burton). Thumbs up to David Gandy.
DESIGNERS OF CHOICE: Burberry, Dolce and Gabbana.
4. Tom Sturridge.
Mr. Sienna Miller and actor Sturridge has disappeared off the acting radar slightly, and understandably ever since the couple had their first child together. But, on the red carpet and off, Tom Sturridge pulls off effortlessly cool folk like no one else. Whether he's sporting an overly long beard or just the staple trilby, there's a lesson to be learned in his wardrobe. Skinny, tapered trousers, a hat, and dirty worn brogues are a must, pulled together to make the perfectly 'don't give a shit' menswear look.
DESIGNERS OF CHOICE: Burberry.
3. Harry Styles
Apologies to all out there who thought that I wasn't going to do something like this. But I can't help it. One Direction member and notorious Lothario Harry Styles is in this list because of his innate ability to make anything look so damn good. Perhaps it's the hair. I have to admit, though, it's only in late 2012 and 2013 that Styles has begun to shine in the menswear world. His staple pieces, always including a large coat, skinny jeans and desert boots might not have changed much, but like a fine wine, he's getting better with age. I also love a man who isn't afraid to rock copious amount of jewellery. We must take note, how much longer can a boyband hold so much rock and roll style? (I'm kidding, I'm kidding). Who knows, perhaps he's been taking tips from Cara Delevigne?
DESIGNERS OF CHOICE: Burberry (notice a pattern here?)
2. Kanye West.
Ok, so even Yeezus himself has some off days, but Kanye is the king of high fashion hip-hop, and he is not afraid to experiment - remember the skirt? Having even changed Kim K's fashion ways, Kanye has gained respect from high end designers and powerhouses, such as Margiela and Anna Wintour. Although it might be argued that the clothes come with his onstage persona, there's no denying that West has serious style, even venturing into designing his own shoe range which were... alright... frankly they were hideous. The point is that Kanye pulled off alternative, dark cool like no one else in 2013. Think leathers, cottons, jerseys, silks - his outfits a constant hybrid of materials and a whole load of different designers. If you want to dress like Kanye, you have to have balls, but there is no contender to the man himself.
DESIGNERS OF CHOICE: Maison Martin Margiela, Ricardo Tisci at Givenchy, Gucci.
and the winner is.....
1. Oliver Chesire
Model and socialite Oliver Cheshire is my best dressed man of 2013 so far. Why? Look at him. Not afraid to mix 60s retro with 90s grunge, mod with rocker, cliche with cliche etc etc, Cheshire is the number one go-to man for any front row menswear show around the world. Heavy duty brogue boots and loafers are his things, as well as button up white shirts and that all important Burberry mac. Staying true to his London style roots, Cheshire is the perfect mix of vintage and contemporary. You go, Oliver.
DESIGNERS OF CHOICE: Burberry.
CLOSE CONTENDERS: Eddie Redmayne, Douglas Booth, Charlie Hunnam, Justin Timberlake and David Beckham.
