Absolutely loving the Pencil Skirt at the minute; the demureness of the length that drops just below the knee contrasting directly with the clinging material that hugs the curves of the legs and hips. There's a reason that it has gone down in history associated with the biggest sex symbols of the century. When someone says 'Pencil Skirt', you can't help but think of the unmistakable wiggle in the walk of the wearers, the link to the 'sexy secretary' of the sixties, and the fourties screen sirens we all know and love. However, this is the Noughties. And its time to change it up a bit. There are those women who will (perfectly acceptably, I may add) rock the Pencil Skirt to work with a white blouse and fitted blazer. However, there are also the more daring women, like you reading this, and I, who will be out on the Great British High Street buying the skirt in leopard print from topshop, and bright green stretch jersey from ASOS (picturesd, right). I just bought a berry red, leather trimmed Pencil Skirt from topshop, and will be sporting it with loose, baggy jumpers to break up the silhouette, and block heels for a more immature look. For a more dressed up look, I'll be wearing it with a sheer white shirt, and the most beautiful vintage Army jacket I bought for a steal of £20 from my local vintage haunt, Freshman's in Sheffield (I beg of you, anyone who passes through should take a look).
Grab your skirt now, the crazier the better, for a truly beautiful, demure, and most of all sexy look for A/W11
