MY NOSE PIERCING.
There was a time that I said I'd never get one, and then unfortunately I got blindo in Magaluf and got it done (pictured, above). However, I can't say I hate it - in fact I quite like it, a simple stud - nothing fancy, but cute. My very first piercing and definitely my last.
HANDS.
After my birthday, where I splurged on jewelry and was bought some lovely pieces by my wonderful friends, I found myself with a few of what I like to call 'rings that aren't actually rings'. What I mean is, the rings that don't circle your finger like these two (pictured x3, below, both TOPSHOP). I think they add a definite quirkiness, particularly the beige and green stoned one which I bought for ten pounds. I love them so much that they haven't left my fingers since last Thursday.
I've also been experimenting with Barry M's crackle effect 'Croc Print' nail varnish, with this blue base coat being the most successful by far. Using a bright base coat, wait until your nails are touch dry and then apply a coat of the Crackle Varnish for some Croc Print nails!
BODY.
I can't say that I'm a huge fan of summer clothes. In fact, I always find myself wearing exactly what I wore in winter, just without tights or a jacket, which leaves me a little confounded as to what to wear in this disgusting weather. But after a not so long search in Meadowhall the other day I found this little beauty - drop waist not too short, nice and loose and best of all (for a fashion hibernator like me) black. If there are any girls out there like me, this dress is only £26 from Topshop, and looks amazing with or without a jacket, tights and heels. It's the perfect season chameleon dress.
I also treated myself to this tweed and leather jacket from Topshop on Thursday - wear it with jeans and a shirt or a baggy dress and heels to add ladylike chic to any outfit.
FEET.
Living in London, I hate to say it, has caused me to wear high heels pretty much 24/7, meaning I'm spending a lot more on shoes than I did before. From the past month, here are my favourites - which I wear with skinny jeans, or a short leather skirt and tights.
The most perfect Jeffrey Campbell imitations (£40, Chockers shoes)
A London style twist on last summer's clog trend (£70, Topshop)
Beautiful and affordable bright blue suede stilettos (ASOS, £35)
ACCESORIES.
I finally got my name necklace for my birthday! See below; I haven't taken it off since Friday. I also found this amazing piece from ASOS - a head chain which clips into the back of your hair with studs. I honestly think that ASOS have some of the best accessories I've seen in a long time, and what's great is that there's so much variety and choice that I haven't seen anyone else with anything I have from there - including this headpiece. It looks amazing with a bun (pictured) or secure two pieces of hair from each side of your face with the studded clips at the back.
Anyway bloggers, that's it from me. I'm going to try and get blogging seriously in the in the coming weeks, so until then, take care, happy styling.
Jessie
